From Friday 17th January 2014, the London Model Engineering Exhibition will fill the Great Hall in Alexandra Palace with one of the largest modelling shows in the UK.

As part of the birthday celebrations the show will this year incorporate a special Robot Wars area complete with displays, robotic entertainment and construction challenges for the whole family to get hands on and involved with.

Blending the full spectrum of modelling from traditional model engineering, steam locomotives and traction engines, through to the more modern gadgets and boys toys including trucks, boats, aeroplanes and helicopters, the Great Hall will be filled with stunning models and inspirational experts.

Over 55 of the UK’s leading specialist suppliers will also be at the exhibition showcasing new products, offering special promotions and giving modellers the chance to see and buy supplies all under one roof.

The ever popular Model Active Zone will be again be packed with hands-on activities and fascinating technical demonstrations for the whole family to get involved with.

Once again, the prestigious ‘London Model Engineering Exhibition Society Shield’, which is voted for by the clubs & societies themselves, will be awarded. Last year’s winner was Malden and District Society of Model Engineers, who repeated their 2012 victory, followed by Harrow & Wembley Society of Model Engineers in second place and the 7¼” Gauge Society in third place.

New exhibitors and displays are being announced regularly and can be seen at www.londonmodelengineering.co.uk or follow #LMEE on Twitter for all the latest news and developments.
