In memory of David Hey
We are sad to report the passing of one of our best-known local authors, David Hey, Emeritus Professor of Local and Family History at the University of Sheffield. David was much respected for his many books, articles and lectures relating to Yorkshire and Derbyshire. Pen & Sword are proud to have published three of his recent books: A History of Penistone and District; A History of the Peak District Moors and A History of the South Yorkshire Countryside. David also had a long association with Ancestors magazine when it was a joint publication between The National Archives and Pen & Sword.
