Ahead of the official celebrations for The Queen’s 90th Birthday next week at Windsor Castle, Royal Windsor Racecourse is hosting its own Royal Shetland Race in honour of Her Majesty on Monday 9th May at 4.10pm. Six Shetland ponies will be haring down the Windsor straight over two and three quarter furlongs, with all riders donning the distinctive and prestigious Royal jockey silks owned by Her Majesty The Queen.
Media are welcome to cover the event and there will be press facilities with WiFi available. There will be an opportunity to speak to the riders and organisers of the race, as well as receive footage of the race for broadcast or embed onto digital platforms.

Royal Windsor Racecourse also host their official HRH Queen Elizabeth’s 90th Birthday Racenight the following Monday 16th May, with live music from established Beatles tribute band Beatles Revolution to enjoy after racing.
