You may not be aware that Bond-creator Ian Fleming also set up a quarterly journal which focused on his book collecting passion. The Book Collector, now in its 65th year, has been bought by his nephew James Fleming recently and the March issue will be an Ian Fleming special and also available as a specially bound edition making it a great collectors’ item in its own right. This issue also invites creative minds to come up with designs for a 27th letter – resurrecting a competition Ian Fleming initiated 70 years ago. With social media these days…perhaps the winning letter may indeed make it into our alphabet!
