Failures of State
Jonathan Calvert & George Arbuthnott
The inside story of the UK’s response to the pandemic – from the Insight investigations unit at The Sunday Times.
Failures of State recounts the extraordinary political decisions taken at the heart of Boris Johnson’s government during the global pandemic.
The Cold War moved to Rhodesia and left white Rhodesians facing genocide, a story that has largely been ignored by history. One of two books, the other being ‘Survival Course’, by the author about his experiences in the Rhodesian Light Infantry. This is a moving story that deserved to be told and now deserves to be read, about the costly march of socialism and the devastation it causes. – Most Highly Recommended

Another best seller from the master of the Napoleonic War/Royal Navy genre. This Kydd and Renzi story covers the largely ignored Royal Navy triumph in preventing Napoleon using the Balkan land bridge to reach India to destroy the British Empire. – Most Highly Recommended
The author has already written a number of fine books about the later period of the Roman Empire and this is a worthy addition to his portfolio. The later years of Roman history are the least known and understood, historians concentrating on the Republic and the early years of Empire. – Very Highly Recommended
