One of The UK’s leading centres for contemporary craft Cockpit Arts are delighted to announce the return of their Summer Festival in London this week. The Summer Festival will be taking place over two weekends – 25-27 June and 2-4 July – in Holborn and Deptford
Cockpit Arts are excited to welcome visitors back to the studios to explore and discover new works by artisans after 18 month break. The diverse festival programme will run both in person and online with over 150 makers across 21 disciplines taking part in this year’s edition. The Summer Festival will offer the perfect opportunity to support London’s flourishing crafts community.
Visitors will be able to book a place on curated tours, attend makers’ taster workshop sessions and sign up to a variety of insightful talks online, including jeweller Tamara Gomez from BBC 2’s All That Glitters, signet ring engraver Castro Smith whose fanbase includes Anya Taylor-Joy and Elton John, wood artist Eleanor Lakelin and designer and artist Amber Khokhar who was the first person to design a modern carpet for Buckingham Palace as commissioned by HRH Prince Charles.
