Further to various requests for the Maritime Labour Convention 2006, the “ILO/IMO Document for Guidance, 1985 – An International Maritime Training Guide”, is now available online.

In order to improve our product and keep our service relevant, we have devised an IMO-Vega Survey online for customers. We encourage you to pass it on to your customers as we would appreciate as wide a response as possible.

Please note that new additions have been added to our Supplements & Inserts webpage for MARPOL Annex VI & NTC 2008 and Basic Documents: Volume I in English as well as a corrigendum for IAMSAR Manual: Volume I in French and a supplement for the IGC Code in French and Spanish. We therefore encourage you to view this webpage and advise your customers to download and print them accordingly. Please remember that these updates are also available to your e-book customers by viewing the pdf file using the website for IMO Virtual Publications.

Following our recently published titles, we shall shortly be printing:

2010 HNS Convention, 2013 Edition (product code IA479E, price £25) in September followed by the French and Spanish versions.
Fish Waste Guidance, 2013 Edition (product code I539E, price £10) in English only, in October.

In order to receive copies of the new titles from the initial print run, please place your backorder now.

We expect the updated edition of the GMDSS Manual, 2013 Edition and The IMO-Vega Database (V18), 2013 to be available later this year as well as the new editions of model courses Leadership & Teamwork and Electro-Technical Officer. There will be an updated edition of Ships’ Routeing published in December.

Please view the meeting summary of the Sub-Committee on Dangerous Goods, Solid cargoes and Containers (DSC) – 18th Session, held at IMO headquarters during 16-20 September 2013 that contains important information on the verification of container weights, new SOLAS requirement for atmosphere testing instruments and the draft schedule for iron ore fines carriage.

IMO Publishing will be exhibiting at Maritime Cyprus 2013 (Stand 26) from 6 – 9 October in Limassol, Cyprus and at Frankfurt Book Fair 2013 from 8 – 11 October in Frankfurt, Germany.
